And that's a wrap!

March 13, 2015

And with that, the first ever Equality in Energy event is in the books!

We at WISE would like to extend a massive thank you to ConocoPhillips Canada for their support in this initiative. It speaks volumes to the type of company they are and the values they hold dear.

We would also like to thank our amazing speakers and demonstrators:

Rachel Lea - Geologist I.T., ConocoPhillips Canada

Michelle Thoms - Geologist I.T., ConocoPhillips Canada

Elena DiMartino - Assistant Professor, Department of Civil Engineering, Schulich School of Engineering

The presentations provided were inspiring, informative and very impactful. The enthusiasm from all of the individuals involved was contagious and we are very grateful to have had such a wonderful and talented group!

We would also like to thank our volunteers who ensured that the night ran as smoothly as possible.

And last but not least...the students and their parents! Without all of you, this event would not exist. We hope that the evening was informative and fun for all of you and that it impacted you in some way to follow your passion whether that be in science and engineering or another area.

We hope this event is just the first of many and we hope to see you all at any of our events in the future!
